Jones finished the game against Ole Miss with 23 carries for 106 yards and a TD while averaging 4.6 yards per carry.Jones is now at 64 carries for 285 yards, 4.5 yards per carry, and 3 TDs through three games. Jones is averaging over 20 rushing attempts and 95 yards per game, showcasing that he is a legitimate bell-cow back. And that is very important considering how inconsistent the offensive line play has been to start the season.The most impressive stat for Jones is that, out of his 285 rushing yards on the season, 223 of them have come after contact. That means through three games, Jones has only been able to gain 62 yards before contact. He is the type of back who can make the right cut, squeeze through tight spaces, and not let the first defender bring him down. He keeps the offense on schedule and very balanced.Jones has also displayed a fantastic ability to pass block as well. In 28 pass-blocking snaps, he has only allowed one hurry.
