File Photo by Laurence Kesterson/UPISept. 25 (UPI) — Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who dislocated his left elbow, will not be placed on injured reserve, a league source told UPI on Friday.Daniels and the Commanders consulted multiple specialists since he was hurt Sunday in Arlington, Texas. He is considered week-to-week. A placement on injured reserve would have resulted in an automatic four-game absence.General manager Adams Peters, who spoke Fridayon 106.7 The Fan, said surgery is “not on the table” for the Commanders’ quarterback. Daniels dislocated the same elbow last season and returned a month later, but reinjured the elbow in Week 14 and missed the remainder of the year.Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Monday that backup Marcus Mariotta will start in place of Daniels in Week 3.”He just got back late last night,” Peters said of Daniels. “The guys are meeting with him this morning.
