​Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has released a defiant public letter addressing the report on Friday which said that the club have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges against them relating to allegedly breaching Premier League financial regulations over a number of years. Khaldoon Al Mubarak has been the chairman at City for 18 years since they were taken over by Sheikh Mansour. In the letter City’s chairman addressed the report and said his response to family was that “the Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began.”He went on to state that “there are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position” but he can’t due to respecting the legal process and he said the open letter below went through several legal checks. This Club matters to me, and you have shown and told me – time and time again – how much Manchester City matters to you. So have I. But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment.
