Christian Ramirez scored twice and Brandon Vazquez had a goal as Austin FC rallied from a 3-0 deficit midway through the second half Saturday to earn a 3-3 draw with San Diego FC at Q2 Stadium.Following a scoreless first half, the Verde and Black appeared to be headed for a decisive loss after Anibal Godoy and Marcus Ingvartsen scored for San Diego and an own goal left them trailing 3-0 in the 65th minute. But Vazquez scored his first goal of the season on a header in the box, then Ramirez found the net on a header and a breakaway finish to give Austin FC a point. The Verde and Black pushed their unbeaten streak to eight games, which has come off three wins and five draws, but also have now gone five straight home matches without a win. Austin FC (7-10-10, 31 points) is in 13th place in the Western Conference but as of this writing is still within two points of the ninth and final playoff spot. Sign up for the Daily Briefing from the Austin American-Statesman.
