STATESBORO, Ga. – Top performers in No. 25 Houston’s 42-28 victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday:QB Conner Weigman Weigman had his best game as a Cougar, throwing for 239 yards and accounting for six touchdowns. Weigman threw TD passes to four different receivers and ran for two more scores as UH piled up 441 yards of total offense. He finished the game with a quarterback rating of 228.5.RB Re’Shaun Sanford IISanford set career highs with 17 carries for 120 rushing yards. Mission accomplished. Walker had his best game of the season with six catches for 83 yards. His 23-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the second half gave the Cougars a 21-point cushion. All six of Walker’s catches produced first downs.Offensive line The starting unit of left tackle Alvin Ebosele, left guard Shadre Hurst, center Anthony Boswell, right guard McKenzje Agnello and right tackle Drew Terrill did not allow a sack or pressure the entire game as quarterback Conner Weigman had plenty of time to work in the pocket. Hurst (84.8), Agnello (84.8) and Boswell (82.5) all had pass-blocking grades above 80.0, according to Pro Football Focus.K Zac Yoakam Georgia Southern’s average starting field position was its own 26-yard line – and Yoakam was a big reason why.
