The team viewed Hurst as someone who could provide size and vertical ability after losing Mike Evans, and his 6-foot-4 frame gives him the physical profile to eventually thrive against aggressive corners. During training camp, the Bucs also highlighted his ability to stress defenders off the snap and quickly work behind coverage. There will naturally be an adjustment period. NFL corners are stronger and more technically sound than most of the defensive backs Hurst faced in college, and they are already testing him accordingly.
