​Not a lot of people are looking at Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud as a potential fantasy option. However, especially with all of the quarterback injuries through the first two weeks, some fantasy owners need some unconventional options at quarterback to keep their team afloat. One of those options, at least for this week, is Stroud.Stroud is readily available as he is only rostered in 38.5 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues. He barely runs the ball, so he does not have the rushing upside that other fantasy quarterbacks have. Stroud failed to throw a passing touchdown last week although he also did not turn the ball over. His points in each game have been decent.However, Week 3 offers a chance for Stroud to have a breakout performance against Houston’s division rival, the Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis has given up the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in the first two weeks of the NFL season as well as not having a single interception. They also have a tendency to give up rushing yards to quarterbacks, so Stroud could have more rushing yards in this game than he has in the previous two.The biggest knock against Stroud as far as fantasy production in this game is concerned is that he will be without star wide receiver Nico Collins. However, that was the case last week and he still managed to have 353 passing yards with 14 targets going to tight end Dalton Schultz. Since Schultz is still in the lineup and Houston should have a balanced offensive attack since Indianapolis also has a poor run defense, this should open things up for Stroud and allow him to have his best game of the season.This article originally appeared on Texans Wire: Can you start Texans QB CJ Stroud in fantasy this week vs Colts?
