​The New England Patriots struggled on both sides of the football in Sunday’s road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. There weren’t many positive highlights for the team in the 35-6 blowout, but veteran cornerback Marcus Jones did come up with an interception that led to one of the two field goals scored. It was the first interception of the season for Jones, who had help from safety Jaylen Reed in the tip drill department. Reed got his hand in on the pass thrown by Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and popped it into the air for Jones’ interception by Jones. This came on a day when the Patriots’ offense couldn’t get anything going. The defense managed to shorten the field and gave them an opportunity to add to their point total. The defense will need more plays like this in the future to give the offense a chance to put points on the board. They are currently the second-worst scoring offense in football, behind the Miami Dolphins, and they need all of the help they can get in games.
