As a rookie, he rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns on just 2.8 yards per attempt.He took over for Achane on Sunday, and rushed for 41 yards and a score on 2.4 yards per attempt. The 6-foot-2 back is more of a bruiser than Achane, which could proivide the offense with a different option.Jaylen WrightWright, 23, played at Tennsessee from 2021-23, earning All-SEC honors once before the Dolphins took him in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons, he rushed for 537 yards and two touchdowns on 3.9 yards per attempt.This year, he’s rushed for just 10 yards and has served as the team’s kick returner. However, he didn’t play on Sunday due to an injury. He brings similar speed to Achane, which might make him the more obvious replacement.Jarquez Hunter (PS)Hunter, 23, played at Auburn from 2021-24 before the Los Angeles Rams took him in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He appeared in five games as a rookie but didn’t receive a single carry. The Rams traded him to the Dolphins this offeseason, and now he’s on Miami’s practice squad.In college, he rushed for 3,371 yards and 25 touchdowns on 6.3 yards per attempt.Carlos Washington Jr. (PS)Washington, 27, played at New Hampshire and Southeastern Louisiana before signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie in 2023. He appeared in two games over the last three years, but he never played an offensive snap.
