​The Minnesota Vikings’ defense came to play once again in Week 3 against the Bucs. They had a tall task with what they were up against, which was a Bucs team with their back against the wall.The offense was a tough watch, start to finish. Kyler Murray had one impressive play where he connected with Jordan Addison downfield for a 41-yard score. Other than that, there was a lot to forget about, and some fans even questioned if they would put Carson Wentz in. All in all, though, the Vikings did what they needed to do to secure the win and improve to 3-0.Here are our report card grades from the game for each Vikings’ position group. Quarterback: DKyler Murray played a rather dreadful game in his first full game for the Vikings. The Bucs’ defense is a tough task for quarterbacks, despite what their record may indicate. They won because of the defense, but against the Dolphins in Week 4, Murray should be able to bounce back. Running Back: CNo one in the backfield really got going due to the presence of the Bucs’ defensive line. Vita Vea and A’Shawn Robinson did their jobs, and the lack of a passing game did not help matters either. Wide Receivers and Tight Ends: C+Jordan Addison did a great job of stepping up when Justin Jefferson went down. However, those behind him failed to step up into the role he abandoned, and it led to being a part of why this offense could not get any sort of momentum in Week 3. Offensive Line: B-The offensive line had a tall task with dealing with the mobility of Kyler Murray in the backfield, but they adjusted well. The Bucs’ defensive front is a challenge for teams, and I was impressed by Donovan Jackson and the tackles as they did their best to keep things easy for Murray. Defense as a Whole: A+This unit may be the best in the NFL; they are playing in a tier of their own right now. The aggressive play-calling is one thing, but they are executing at a high level as well. The unit has had a handful of players step up in meaningful moments all year, and they are the primary reason this team is 3-0.
