The Americans entered Sunday three points behind but flipped the contest by winning nine of the 12 singles matches. Patrick Cantlay beat Adam Scott 2&1, contributing to the United States’ 17-13 victory over the International team (via Yahoo Sports).The Australian veteran has now appeared in the competition 12 times without being part of a winning International team. The United States, meanwhile, continued a run that stretches back decades. The Americans have lost only once in Presidents Cup history, with their previous defeat coming in 1998.Trump’s presence remained noticeable throughout the comeback. U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker credited the president after the Americans secured the trophy, while Trump watched the opening moments of the singles matches from the first tee.
