Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.Giancarlo Stanton hasn’t played since April 24. Now, the New York Yankees slugger will look to make an impact in the postseason. According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, Stanton is on New York’s roster for the Wild Card Series against the Boston Red Sox. “Giancarlo Stanton is ON the Yankees Wild Card Series roster,” Morosi wrote on X. It’s been a rough season for the 36-year-old, who played just 24 games before landing on the injured list with a calf strain. In June, Stanton suffered another calf strain while rehabbing his initial injury.
