No one is saying they need to remove and everyone and start from the ground up, but keeping the exact same core going into the 2027 season, if there even is one, seems like one of the worst ideas of all time.Where do Giants go after 65-97 season?This team was three games shy of ending the year with 100 losses, and that’s something that hasn’t happened since 1985.That year, the team was a horrific 62-100, and it remains the worst season in franchise history.San Francisco plays in a tough division, no doubt, but there was no reason for them to only be seven games ahead of the 58-104 Colorado Rockies.It’s safe to say the only place this team can go is up from here, but nothing is for certain until everyone sees what changes Posey and the rest of this organization is able to make.
