But the UCF Knights created one of the greatest 21st century traditions college football has to offer — the annual Space Game, which started during the Knights’ historic undefeated 2017 season.Founded as Florida Technical College in 1963 to train scientists and engineers to accompany the rising United States’ space program in Cape Canaveral, UCF fully embraces its outer space roots for this game each year. Five Space Games featured black jerseys and the other two featured Canaveral blue. The Knights will sport an all-white look, from the helmet to the jersey to the pants.UCF lays out the granular details of the uniform design on its website.
