(WMBD/WYZZ) — The Hitt sisters are a big hit for regional champion U-High.Audrey Hitt fired a 79 and younger sister Hadley an 83 to lead the Pioneers to the 2A girls golf regional at Weibring Golf Club on Tuesday. Audrey Hitt was the medalist for the regional.Tri-Valley won the 1A Pontiac regional where Central Catholic’s Caroline Braucht shot an 81 to earn medalists honors. Central Catholic was the runner-up and advanced to next week’s sectoinals.Dunlap won the 2A regional at Galesburg behind runner-up Sydney Hunt, who shot a 75. Runner-up Pekin also advanced out of that regoinal.Metamora’s Addie Mitchell fired a 1-under 70 to capture the medal and teammate Gillian Tyra was runner-up with an 83 at the 1A Metamora regional. The Redbirds won the regional with second-place Notre Dame and third-place Illini Central also advancing.Volleyball winners Tuesday night included Normal West, Morton, Limestone, Tremont and Illini Bluffs.
