​The Denver Broncos could get some reinforcements from injured reserve as early as next week. Broncos backup offensive tackle Frank Crum and tight end Caleb Lohner, who were placed on short-term IR when the initial 53-man roster was set, are both eligible to return after Week 4. The key word is eligible, because there’s no guarantee either player will return to the active roster right away.Lohner, in particular, probably still needs more time to recover. Denver general manager George Paton gave a rough estimate of “late October or so” for Lohner’s potential return after the TE landed on IR in August. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo, who is on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list, is also eligible to return after Week 4. Once he eventually returns to practice, Gargiulo will have a 21-day window to be activated to the 53-man roster. The Broncos’ 53-man roster is full, so if any players return from IR or PUP lists next week, the team would need to make corresponding moves to make room on the roster.
