Support HuffPost.An alleged ****** assault on Louisiana State University’s campus last year is being investigated by the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office, the office announced last week. An LSU student said that she was raped in October 2025 by an LSU football player who is still on team. The student, Kendall Danielle Francis, said in a Sept. 14 TikTok video that after the alleged rape, she reported him to the school and he was suspended for a year. After a successful appeal from him, Francis was notified that her alleged rapist’s punishment would lessen from two semesters suspended to four semesters on probation and that he would return to campus and the football team. “LSU really does protect their athletes, especially their football players,” Francis said in her TikTok.The East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office said the alleged rape is “now an open criminal investigation.”LSU President Wade Rousse said in a statement to NBC News that the university is cooperating with investigators.This article originally appeared on HuffPost.
