Sevilla manager names Barcelona the best team in Spain: ‘They are very hungry’Barcelona have made an explosive start to the 2026/27 season, and Sevilla manager Luis Garcia Plaza believes there is little debate over where Hansi Flick’s side currently stands in Spanish football.Speaking to El Larguero, Garcia Plaza described Barcelona as the best team in Spain and pointed to their hunger as one of the reasons behind their early-season dominance.“Barça, as of today, is the best team in Spain… They are very hungry.”The numbers provide plenty of context for the Sevilla manager’s assessment, as Barcelona have won all seven of their La Liga matches, scoring 31 goals and producing a +24 goal difference.Barcelona’s attacking numbers are making the differenceSevilla have already experienced Barcelona’s strength first-hand this season.Luis Garcia Plaza has nothing but praise for Barcelona. I know he wasn’t coming to Sevilla, but the good thing is that he’s in Spain,” he joked.
