The former quarterback and announcer was sidelined after he was arrested for an OWI in his home state of Wisconsin over the Summer.”CBS Sports and Tony Romo have mutually agreed to part ways,” CBS said in a statement. “We thank Tony for his contributions over the past nine years and wish him the best moving forward.”CBS said that J.J. Romo was pulled over and performed poorly in a field sobriety test and reportedly had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.Romo pled no contest to a civil offense for the OWI in early September.Romo’s future with CBS was immediately in question as the announcer went through the legal process.
