   ​Izan Guevara claimed pole position in Moto2 at the Japanese Grand Prix.David Alonso led through much of Q2 in Moto2, but during the final runs in the session, the future Honda rider fell down to sixth place.In the end, Pramac’s Guevara set the fastest time after the Spaniard already had the pace during the first half of the session, but made multiple mistakes. Filip Salac finished second after crashing once during the session, and Guevara’s championship rival, Manuel Gonzalez, completed the top three today.Daniel Holgado, Tony Arbolino and David Alonso will complete the second row of the grid on Sunday. Future MotoGP rider for Tech3, Senna Agius, finished in 10th place.Full Results – Moto2 QualifyingThis happened in Moto3 QualifyingAfter Jorge Martin claimed pole position in MotoGP, the day continued with Moto3 Qualifying at the Motegi circuit.There, Intact GP’s David Almansa set the fastest time despite not being on the track during the final moments of the session. This was the Spaniard’s ninth pole position in Moto3.Championship leader Maximo Quiles can mathematically secure the Moto3 title this weekend. The Spaniard set the fourth-best time and will have the two KTM Ajo riders, Brian Uriarte and Alvaro Carpe, start ahead of him on the first row on Sunday, as they finished second and third, respectively.It was a day to forget for the British riders, as both Eddie O’Shea and Scott Ogden were eliminated already in Q1.
