Now, that effort will bring additional support to his charitable work.The Patriotswide receiver was named the NFLPA’s Week 4 Community MVP on Friday after hosting a Special Olympics Family Field Day in Foxborough. The recognition includes a $10,000 donation from the NFLPA to his Free the Feet Foundation.Hollins’ event welcomed 125 athletes and their families, creating an evening built around participation, accessibility and having fun together. It also offered Patriots fans a closer look at a commitment that has followed the receiver throughout his football career. The award arrived during preparation for Sunday’s game against Buffalo, but the work behind it began long before this week.Hollins Helped Give Families A Night To RememberThe Sept. 22 event took place at the WIN Waste Field House at Patriot Place, with Hollins working alongside the Patriots Foundation. Activities included sports, meals, face painting and a photo booth. Several Patriots teammates also participated, including Julian Ashby, Bryce Baringer, Efton Chism and Tommy DeVito.Those details help explain the significance of the evening. Families had multiple ways to take part, and the athletes had opportunities to interact with players while enjoying activities designed to include them.An NFL player’s appearance can make an event special.
