AP college football top 25: Longhorns stay No. 1 but Cougars slide down

The University of Texas (4-0) stayed No. 1 in the Associated Press top 25 after its open week, but the University of Houston dropped two spots despite a win over Central Florida.The Cougars (4-1) fell two spots to No. 22 after ralling from a 17-0 halftime deficit to beat Central Florida. UH is at Kansas State on Saturday.TEXAS COLLEGE RANKINGS:Tech, UH trail the LonghornsTexas Tech (5-0) moved up one place to No. 11 after its win over Colorado. The Red Raiders are off this week.SMU (4-1) is the other Texas school in the top 25 but slipped three spots after a non-descript win over Boston College.
