PHILADELPHIA — Injury after injury piled up for the Philadelphia Eagles during their home game at the Linc against the Los Angeles Rams. And those injuries took their toll by the end of the fourth quarter. With 1:10 left on the clock in the game, a Kyren Williams touchdown swiped the lead from the Eagles for the first time that day and easily ran out the clock. Here’s how it happened.FOURTH QUARTER1:10 – Rams 24, Eagles 20Another Rams touchdown from Kyren Williams, and Harrison Mevis once again makes the extra point to put the Rams in the lead, their first of the day.3:48 – Injury timeoutEagles running back Tank Bigsby was being evaluated for possible injury after being tackled by Rams linebacker Byron Young.4:02 – Eagles 20, Rams 17Kyren Williamsrushed just short of the Eagles’ end zone when a penalty was called against the Eagles for too many men on the field. Williams pushed the ball over for the touchdown, and Harrison Mevis made the extra point.14:11 — Eagles 20, Rams 10Instead of trying a long field goal, the Rams went for it on fourth-and-8 from the Eagles’ 36-yard line. Matthew Stafford’s pass fell incomplete, and the Eagles will take over.Maybe the Eagles’ offense doesn’t have to do anything but not turn it over at this point. The defense, even with all the injuries, are playing well enough to win this.THIRD QUARTERInjury crisisThe injuries keep piling up for the Eagles. In the first half, they lost Saquon Barkley (hamstring). And in the third quarter, cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (knee) and edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (TBD) have exited the game. Still a two-score game. But the Eagles’ offense has to get it into gear and get some points to put it away.SECOND QUARTER0:03 — Eagles 20, Rams 10Darius Cooper now has four catches on the season. Three of them have gone for touchdowns. Cooper, who had the game-winning score vs. the Titans, snared his second touchdown catch of the quarter to close out the first half vs. the Rams. This one wasn’t as acrobatic as his first. But Cooper made a leaping grab to secure a 10-yard touchdown with only a few seconds left in the half. And it was all set up by Cooper DeJean’s first interception of the season.Cooper DeJean INT TIME 🚨@LARvsPHI on FOX/FOX OneStream on @NFLPluspic.twitter.com/M1Hf8oYRcE— NFL (@NFL) October 4, 20261:55 — Eagles 13, Rams 10The Rams answered Darius Cooper’s circus-catch touchdown with a scoring drive of their own. Matthew Stafford led a nine-play, 67-yard touchdown drive, dropping a couple of dimes along the way. The drive was capped by a jet sweep handoff to Puka Nacua.
