With the completion of action in League A Monday night, the USMNT learned they will face Haiti in a 2-legged quarterfinal series.Haiti were the runners-up in Group 1, but by virtue of their record, they were the better of the second place teams. With the USMNT currently sitting second in the Concacaf rankings behind Mexico, Haiti was confirmed as their opponent with Jamaica’s draw against Honduras late Monday night.The Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal pairings:U.S. Soccer had already confirmed that the home leg would be the return leg and take place on November 17th. That match will take place at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati. Before that, the USMNT would hit the road to face Haiti in the first leg. Haiti played their League A matches at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica due to safety concerns in their capital, Port-au-Prince. Early reports out of Haiti suggest that Sabina Park would continue to serve as Haiti’s “home” stadium and would be the site of the first leg on November 14th. The quarterfinal winners would also directly qualify for next summer’s Concacaf Gold Cup, while the losers would have to qualify via the Gold Cup Prelims.
