Barcelona long-term injury absentee takes another step forward in recoveryAccording to SPORT, FC Barcelona forward Roony Bardghji continues to make progress in his rehabilitation after being sidelined with a long-term injury. The Swedish winger is recovering well from his serious knee injury and, although there is still a long road ahead, he is gradually regaining his mobility and independence. As per the report, Barça are very satisfied with both his progress and his attitude throughout the rehabilitation process.Bardghji suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a training session at the Ciutat Esportiva on 10 August. Two days later, he underwent successful surgery performed by Dr Joan Carles Monllau. The injury was particularly difficult for Bardghji, who had previously suffered a serious problem with the same knee. Since then, he has approached a lengthy recovery with patience and positive signs.Another small step forwardAs per the report, Bardghji reached another milestone on Tuesday when he left the Ciutat Esportiva driving his own car.Until recently, a club van collected him from his home each day, took him to the training facilities and waited for his rehabilitation sessions to finish before taking him home again.During the early weeks of his recovery, the Swedish winger wore a hinged knee brace, which is commonly used after anterior cruciate ligament surgery to protect the joint and control its movement. The restriction made it impossible for him to drive normally.Bardghji has now moved beyond that stage and has enough mobility in his leg to get behind the wheel again. It is an everyday activity, but after an operation of this nature, it represents another small milestone in his rehabilitation.Last week, the player himself shared images of his work in the pool at the Ciutat Esportiva, another exercise included in this stage of his recovery.Making steady progress. It is an attitude he already demonstrated last season when the club told him that he could look for a move in search of more playing time. The youngster accepted the situation without complaint, continued working and responded on the pitch whenever opportunities came his way. He is showing the same determination now as he works his way back from injury. It is still too early to think about Bardghji returning to competitive action. Months of work remain, along with much more demanding stages of rehabilitation. But the Swedish winger is moving forward.
