Pittsford Mendon girls volleyball did something that hasn’t happened in nearly two decades last weekend: beating Sutherland. The Vikings got a win over their cross town rivals for the first time since 2009 on Saturday. Syndey Harff led Mendon with 16 kills and 28 digs. The Vikings are now the number two ranked team in New York State at Class A.Also on the list this week…JahZyree Smith from Lyons/Sodus football had nine catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns, including a 51 yard game winner with six minutes to play as the Lions won a thriller with Midlakes.Richie Miles from Wayne high school made an ace on the par-3 4th hole at Winged Pheasant last week using a 7-iron from 178 yards. He ended up firing a 41 for nine holes and Wayne won the match.Aquinas senior Sienna Fallone scored three goals in three games last week. It was another 3-0 week for the Lil’ Irish who are off to a perfect 12-0 start.
