The two teams did business together this offseason, as Indianapolis sent wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to Pittsburgh in a trade back in March. All of a sudden, Pittman Jr.’s availability for this weekend against his former team seems to be up in the air.The veteran receiver was present during the open viewing portion of practice to media on Wednesday. However, after practice, reports said Pittman Jr. was spotted using a single-legged scooter with his left foot propped up.Steelers WR Michael Pittman Jr. came through the locker room with his left foot propped up on a scooter. Pittman, who’s been dealing with a foot injury this season, was on the field participating in stretch with the rest of the team during the viewing window.— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) October 7, 2026Obviously, something had to have happened in practice for Pittman Jr. to be in enough pain or be hurting enough to have to use a scooter to get around the locker room. This is the same foot that caused the receiver to miss the Steelers Week 2 contest against the New England Patriots. In three contests this season, Pittman Jr. has caught seven passes for 89 yards. After recording just 16 and 15 yards in each of his last games, speculation online suggested that Pittman Jr. could be playing through the injury. While it is unclear if the Steelers wideout has been playing through the injury, he certainly seems to have tweaked something during Wednesday’s practice.Keep an eye on the injury report and Pittman Jr.’s participation over the next few days of practice, as his availability for this weekend is now murky at best.Let us know what you think in the comments. Be sure to bookmark Behind the Steel Curtain for all the latest news, breakdowns, and more!Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth defends Mike McCarthy’s ‘clean house’ commentsThe Steelers offense can be great, but they need to lean into what’s workingSteelers sign former Chicago Bears cornerbackSteelers sign former Browns defensive endSteelers waive cornerback Doneiko Slaughter
