How much cap space do Falcons have after Kyle Pitts extension?

They haven’t done much when it comes to bringing new talent in this year, but the Atlanta Falcons are deadly-determined to keep all of their best players in-house, at least.
On Tuesday it was reported that the Falcons have come to terms with their sixth-year tight end Kyle Pitts on a new contract, with details at three years and $54 million total, and $36 million of it fully guaranteed.

The deal locks up another of Atlanta’s three musketeers on offense, with Drake London being the first and Bijan Robinson coming next. It also saved the Falcons front office a significant chunk of salary cap space for the 2026 NFL season.
According to figures available at Over the Cap, extending Kyle Pitts should save the team a little more than $11.06 million for this year.
The deal isn’t official quite yet, but we can surmise how much cap space the Falcons have now by adding that figure to their current cap space number – which comes in around $27.53 million. So, adding Pitts’ deal on top should put them around $38.6 million. That ranks fifth-most in the NFL behind the 49ers, Titans, Commanders and Chargers.
Going by the same method, the Falcons can save another $2 million in cap space for 2026 by extending Bijan Robinson, plus another $8.1 million in 2027.
