Joining Labaron Philon, Alabama basketball veteran Latrell Wrightsell Jr. is getting a shot in the pros.
The guard went undrafted but was signed by the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, June 25. Wrightsell’s agency, Edge Sports International, first announced the news.
Wrightsell has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract, which is a one-year, non-guaranteed training camp deal.

Despite battling injuries throughout his three seasons in Tuscaloosa, Wrightsell was instrumental to three consecutive NCAA Tournament runs, highlighted by a historic Final Four appearance in 2023.
In his sixth and final season of college hoops, Wrightsell averaged 13.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
On Tuesday, June 23, Philon — now a Philadelphia 76er — became the first Alabama player to be drafted in the first round since Noah Clowney and Brandon Miller in 2023, the latter of which now reunited with Wrightsell in the Hornets organization.
