The Rams remain in third position of the NFC West as a result.SoFi Stadium has never developed a reputation for its atmosphere, but there was certainly plenty of noise made on Monday evening. The Rams gave away a number of false start penalties on the night despite playing on home soil. Matthew Stafford spoke out after the game about the atmosphere created in Inglewood by the travelling Bills fans.Matthew Stafford blames Rams penalties on loud Buffalo Bills fansPlaying at your home stadium is supposed to be one of the few advantages a team can have going into a game. You only have to look at how the Seattle Seahawks triumphed last year when the playoffs went through Lumen Field.“You talking false start penalties? Obviously a loud environment. I can do a better job in cleaning that up to help those guys out,” said Stafford after the game. That feels like a damning indictment on the Rams’ home support that the Bills fans were able to create such noise on Stafford’s snaps. Giving away so many false starts due to the atmosphere created speaks volumes about how many Bills fans must have been in attendance. The Rams have been dealing with some absences during the early stages of the season but not many people would have expected them to be 2-3 going into Week Six. McVay and co will now need the full support of the fanbase to help get the team back on track. An opportunity will be presented to the Rams on Sunday as they head back to SoFi Stadium for a game against the 1-4 Arizona Cardinals. If they are unable to win that game then that will certainly make their playoff hopes extremely slim.Read more:Alaric Jackson and Bradley Chubb get into physical altercation after LA Rams vs Buffalo Bills‘Rolled over’ – Bill Simmons calls out Sean McVay’s crucial OT decisions in LA Rams loss‘This stings’ – Sean McVay shares his anger after the Los Angeles Rams’ OT defeat
