Alabama guard Houston Mallette has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Chicago Bulls.
Mallette played a pivotal role off the Crimson Tide’s bench throughout his second and final season in Tuscaloosa. The talented guard averaged 6.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 23.3 minutes per game last season, and Mallette has earned himself an undrafted free agent deal with the Bulls as a result.
The former Alabama star will more than likely see a significant amount of playing time on the Bulls’ summer league team in July, as Mallette now finds himself with an excellent opportunity to potentially make a NBA roster.
Mallette originally transferred to Alabama in 2024 following three impressive seasons at Pepperdine. The sharpshooter has proven to thrive under pressure on numerous occasions during his time in Tuscaloosa, as Mallette was consistently able to come through in the clutch on the offensive end of the floor.
The former Crimson Tide guard is the second Alabama player to sign with a NBA team after going undrafted, joining Latrell Wrightsell Jr..
