The Longhorns dropped their No. 1 ranking following a 27-24 loss at home to the Sooners, with Arch Manning under pressure to prove that was nothing more than an anomaly. Steve Sarkisian’s side are facing Florida at the right time, too, as the Gators look to shake off their own bit of rust following successive losses to Missouri and South Carolina. A 38-19 humbling at home to the latter was enough to see the program lose its ranking altogether after entering last weekend’s home game at No. 16, conceding a miserable 83 points across those last two outings. This will be the third time these schools have faced off as SEC opponents, with Florida claiming its maiden win in the series when they met in Gainesville last year. Jon Sumrall took over as head coach this year and initially showed plenty of promise with a free-scoring offense, scoring a notable win over Auburn and No. 9 Ole Miss before seeing production fall off a clip over the past fortnight.Star receiver Vernell Brown III will hope to return Saturday after missing Florida’s last two games with a knee injury, though he’s still questionable for this clash. Meanwhile, Manning is aiming to bounce back after throwing two crucial picks in the defeat to Oklahoma as both teams reach a major crossroads that threatens to make or break their seasons.Live stream Florida vs. Texas on ABC with Fubo:Start watching now! With Fubo, you can watch live television without cable on your phone, TV, or tablet.
