This is the beginning of the end for this iteration of the Colts

Daniel Jones as the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts is on incredibly thin ice. Losing to the Tennessee Titans sure feels like the straw that will break the camel’s back. For a season in which the motto is “Find a Way”, the only thing this organization needs to find a way to do is to push the reset button. It’s been six weeks, so saying it’s all over is tough. A lot can change with two-thirds of the season left. The biggest issue is the here and now. After falling to the winless Titans at home, the Colts find themselves at 2-4. That is the now. The immediate future is bleak as well. Not to say that the Colts can’t win but the undefeated Vikings and the Jaguars, both on the road, lie ahead. Ask yourself if you see those games going well.Time is up. The beginning part of this season was do or die. Finding a way didn’t mean find a way to lose to the worst team in football. Props to the Colts for finding creative ways to lose, but that isn’t what Carlie Irsay-Gordon had in mind. Ballard’s seat is so hot that it should have already melted. Steichen hasn’t shown enough to make it out of this. The failures are evident and felt by the players too. This is rock bottom and change is needed.Patience is a virtue, but it isn’t a requirement in the NFL. The Irsays have shown enough over the years to this staff and personnel. Daniel Jones doesn’t have the juice. Shane Steichen has shown an inability to win. Chris Ballard has failed to put a good product on the field 90% of the time. We knew this was coming. Sunday’s disaster was the gust of wind that will topple this house of cards.
