Markus Krösche set to become AC Milan’s new Head of FootballAs reported by Kicker, Markus Krösche is set to become AC Milan’s new Head of Football. On Sunday evening, the bombshell spread like wildfire around German football – Markus Krösche is to leave his role as Eintracht Frankfurt Sporting Director with immediate effect. The 46-year-old asked if he could be released from his duties, stating that he “needed a change.”The change in question appears to be a move to Serie A and AC Milan as their new Head of Football. Krösche’s departure had been rumoured last summer, but nothing materialised. However, the iron is now hot, and an official agreement with Milan is expected to be announced this week. Milan already had Krösche in their sights last summer, offering him a four-year deal totalling up to €40m. As stated in Gazzetta dello Sport, these discussions never went away; instead, both parties were just trying to come to an agreement when it came to the job, its duties, and, of course, finances. Eintracht Frankfurt to Receive Transfer Fee for Markus KröscheThe one plus side in all of this for Frankfurt is that they will receive a transfer fee should Krösche move to Milan. The 46-year-old is under contract until 2028 and would therefore need to be bought out of his current deal. How much Milan are willing to spend is not yet known. GGFN | Jamie Allen
