The next challenge is making sure the breakthrough becomes more than a one-night escape. The Razorbacks finally closed the book on a losing streak that had become bigger than any individual Saturday.Razorback Ledger: An SEC WinFinally! On Saturday evening, Arkansas beat Vanderbilt 31-21, ending 14 consecutive SEC defeats and giving Ryan Silverfield his first conference victory at Arkansas. At 3-4 overall and 1-3 in league play, they enter their bye week with something they badly needed: a result that supports the work instead of another explanation for why the work has not paid off.Enjoy that distinction. Arkansas fans have spent enough weekends searching through losses for something worth keeping. But this edition of the Razorback Ledger doesn’t declare the program repaired. Johnson returned his interception for a touchdown. Mitchell’s late takeaway stopped Vanderbilt after the Commodores had reached the Arkansas 29 with 3:46 remaining. Those plays mattered because Arkansas used them. The last interception did not become a brief celebration followed by an immediate return to the same pressure. The Razorbacks extended the ensuing possession, and Max Gilbert’s 39-yard field goal established the final margin. That sequence was the most important entry in the ledger. Defense created an opportunity, offense helped preserve it, and speci
