Jedd Fisch has placed a major emphasis on in-state recruiting since he took over the Washington Huskies program, and the 2028 class may be his biggest challenge yet.
Headlined by five-star tight end Tytan McNeal and four-star defensive lineman Aedyn Havili, the 2028 in-state class is loaded with talent, but they’re just the tip of the iceberg. In recent months, four-star offensive lineman Kyler Harden has emerged as another important target for position coach Michael Switzer.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound product of O’Dea High School is ranked as the nation’s No. 197 overall prospect and No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the 2028 class by the 247Sports Composite, and holds 11 offers, with Auburn, California, Oregon, Penn State, and UCLA also among the programs in pursuit of his services.
Although he’s listed as an interior prospect, Harden’s future appears to be at tackle thanks to his promising frame and impressive athleticism. On film, he shows off the ability to be a reliable lead blocker in the run game, pulling all the way across the formation with speed and explosiveness while generating good power to pave the way for ball carriers.
Harden has also stood out on the track, where he posted personal bests of 44-6.75 and 145-7 in the shot put and discus during his freshman season, further displaying his strength that should translate well to the Big Ten if he were to choose the Huskies.

After he was limited to just five games during his sophomore year by an injury, if he can stay healthy while adding weight for his junior campaign, he could quickly rise up the national rankings.
