Florida basketball’s season is inching closer. The No. 1 Gators will play in the O’Dome this week as they welcome Stetson for an exhibition matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Florida’s first exhibition of the preseason didn’t go as planned after losing in overtime to Baylor. Thomas Haugh led UF with 19 points, while Rueben Chinyelu posted a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds. The Gators struggled from the 3-point line as they went 4-for-29, but came up with 26 offensive rebounds. Stetson comes off a 12-21 record and a 7-11 mark in conference play. After the final preseason matchup, Florida will face Miami in its season opener, while the Hatters take on Clemson. “I expect us to play hard and I expect us to execute,” Florida coach Todd Golden said. “Our Miami game will be a real test to see if we made the strides need to address the issues that we had against Baylor. I think we will – and I’m not trying to be disrespectful to Stetson, I’m just being honest – we can play with our talent our length and our size and we’ll be OK, but we won’t be able to do that against Miami.”What channel is Florida basketball vs StetsonTV Channel: SEC Network+Livestream:ESPN+, FUBOFlorida basketball vs Stetson will broadcast on the SEC Network+.
