Most notably, MSU made a lineup change heading into the game — moving freshman Jasiah Jervis into the starting lineup at shooting guard, Jordan Scott to the wing and Coen Carr to power forward. That change is expected to stick. The questions at center are more fluid. Jesse McCulloch is expected to play Thursday against Toledo after missing the opener with what was deemed a mild concussion. Whether he starts — as he likely would have Monday — is unclear. But he, transfer Anton Bonke (who had decent night Monday), freshman Ethan Taylor and power forward Cam Ward will all be in competition for that spot and will all probably play minutes at center for the foreseeable future, especially in games like this.RELATED:Couch: 3 quick takes on Michigan State basketball’s 96-59 season-opening win over Quinnipiac• Toledo update: The Rockets are coming off a 71-70 loss at Arkansas State in their season opener.
