Manchester City are close to completing the signing of Elliot Anderson for a club record fee.
The Citizens have long been favourites to land the Nottingham Forest midfielder, who is currently on international duty with England at the 2026 World Cup.

However, it has taken time for the Citizens to agree a fee for the player who will cost them a reported £116 million, although other reports have suggested that it could be as high as £130 million which would make the move a British record.
With personal terms unlikely to be an issue, all that remains is for the medical to be completed before the 23-year-old completes his move to the Etihad Stadium.
Last season, Anderson was one of the stand out players in English football featuring 50 times for Forest in all competitions, scoring four times and making five assists.
