​AC Milan is pleased to announce the appointment of Rúben Amorim as Head Coach of the men’s First Team. Amorim began his coaching career in 2018, following a professional playing career that saw him represent Belenenses and Benfica, in addition to earning caps for the Portugal national team. After gaining early coaching experience with Casa Pia and Braga, he took the helm at Sporting Clube de Portugal in March 2020, initiating a regime characterized by a distinctive playing identity, innovation, and a strong emphasis on developing players. This period yielded tangible success for Sporting, including two Portuguese league titles, two League Cups, and a Super Cup. Most recently, Amorim led Manchester United before transitioning to AC Milan.
