​High school football is back in the Gadsden area starting this week.While the season can officially start on August 20, this week will feature jamborees for Gadsden-area teams across the area. The AHSAA season will start on August 20 with five games in the Gadsden area before 14 games on Friday, Aug. 21 with Week 0 action.The season runs through October before the playoffs start in November. The AHSAA Football championships are December 1-5 in Mobile, one of many changes this season.
