All Elite Wrestling event comes to metro Phoenix

All Elite Wrestling is bringing a major pay-per-view event to the Phoenix area, with plans announced on July 13 that its Full Gear show will take place on November 14 at Mortgage Matchup Center in downtown Phoenix. Full Gear is one of AEW’s four flagship pay-per-view events, a centerpiece of the company’s annual slate based largely in Jacksonville, Florida. The promotion’s prior pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, was held at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale last year and earned widespread praise for the sheer entertainment value of its matchups.
AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view is slated to land in downtown Phoenix this November, a move that executive team members hope will deliver big-fight energy to the region. Tony Khan, AEW’s CEO, described the forthcoming show as a high point for the company in 2026. “It was voted the best wrestling show of the year in 2025,” Khan noted, referencing Sports Illustrated’s worldwide recognition of Double or Nothing 2025 as a standout event, with several major outlets naming last year’s Arizona stop as the best wrestling event of the year. “AEW is even better in 2026. We’re aiming for an even bigger and better year, and Phoenix is the perfect stage for that momentum,” he said.
Full Gear is expected to feature a mix of title bouts and ongoing rivalries that can drive the narrative through the pay-per-view event. AEW’s weekly programming remains a staple for fans, with AEW Dynamite airing on TBS every Wednesday and AEW Collision on TNT on Saturdays, providing continued buildup and story development ahead of Full Gear.
Phoenix, Khan added, is a “fantastic sports town” known for generating the big-fight atmosphere that such a premier event demands. The city’s energy, he suggested, makes it an ideal backdrop for a major pay-per-view like Full Gear, and anticipation around the show is likely to be high among wrestling fans in the region.
Ticket information has also been released. General admission and premium tickets for Full Gear will go on sale to the public on July 27 at 10 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, with purchases available through AEWTix.com and Ticketmaster. VIP and premium seating will be offered earlier, with a presale scheduled for July 21 at 10 a.m. A separate presale window will run July 23–26, starting at 10 a.m. Fans who want to access exclusive presale opportunities can sign up to become AEW Insiders via the AEW website.
This event marks another milestone in AEW’s West Coast expansion and underscores the company’s ongoing strategy to bring major, high-profile wrestling action to large market cities across the United States. The Phoenix display of enthusiasm and support for professional wrestling reinforces the city’s status as a major hub for live sports and entertainment, where large-scale events consistently draw strong crowds and create memorable, atmosphere-filled experiences for attendees.
