With the World Cup fever fading from the city, rumors of Jaylen Brown joining the Sixers, and the Flyers’ failed offer sheet for Leo Carlsson fading from the headlines, the focus sharpens on the MLB All-Star Game activities hosted by Philadelphia. We’re just hours away from the kickoff of MLB All-Star Week, an event designed to delight every baseball fan. Each day offers a new way to soak in the festivities and celebrate the sport.
The Phillies and MLB have generously highlighted both the all-star events at Citizens Bank Park and a preview of the All-Star Village at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. If you’re traveling into town and looking for ideas on what to do around Citizens Bank Park and Philadelphia, these guides will come in handy: What To Do in Philadelphia and What to Know About CBP.
College athletes from Division I programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Philadelphia will have a chance to showcase their talents to scouts at Citizens Bank Park. The session will be broadcast live on MLB Network and MLB.com, and tickets are still available for just $28 each.
The Philadelphia Convention Center hosts an extraordinary display of Philadelphia’s baseball culture. Set in a vast exhibition hall, the All-Star Village offers dozens of activities for all ages, unique baseball food bites, and an art showcase, among many other attractions. Each Village area embodies a different Philadelphia neighborhood—Old City, Center City, Fishtown, South Philly, and Fairmount—each with its own distinctive vibe.
