​Nashville will be the first city in the U.S. to have a full 18-hole indoor golf course, with CityGolf USA opening its flagship location in Music City.Leveraging the digital golf course model pioneered by Chairman Kim Young-Chan, founder ofGOLFZON, CityGolf USA’s Nashville location is designed to deliver a new category of urban golf.Not only is indoor golf an interesting twist on the more than 500-year-old sport, but it also makes the game more accessible, allowing players to play year-round.“Golf has never been more popular, but for millions of golfers, finding the time, or even a placeto play remains a challenge,” said Tony Graffia Jr., CEO of CityGolf USA and Managing Partnerof Nessie Capital, per a press release shared with The Tennessean. “CityGolf USA changes that by making it possible to play a full round before or after work, year-round, in cities where people live and work. It’s a faster, more accessible way to experience the game.”What will CityGolf’s indoor course feature? The country’s first full indoor golf course, which will be the size of three football fields, will feature sequential 18-hole play using GOLFZON simulators, real putting surfaces, dedicated short-game areas and a simulator-based driving range.Beyond golf, the facility will also have a restaurant and bar, a retail pro shop, private event spaces and driving-range bays for corporate and social gatherings.The venue will also have on-site PGA-certified professionals offering lessons, leagues, and player development programs.CityGolf USA is introducing a limited Founding Membership for golfers seeking early access tothe Nashville location. Details will be released alongside the company’s membership website,social channels, and digital launch campaign.How will the indoor golf course work? Even if you don’t play golf, you know that golf courses take up a large amount of space, an average of 150 acres, to be exact. That said, how will CityGolf’s Nashville course fit on only three football fields? The course will feature 18 sequential holes, but driver and iron shots will be played on a simulator. Once you’re done hitting those shots, the simulator screen will then raise to reveal a green that you can chip and put on. A laser will show you where your ball landed after the prior shot.When will CityGolf USA’s Nashville location open?
