​MILAN (AP) — AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim knows American midfielder Christian Pulisic is frustrated and does not view that discontent as a negative.At a press conference on Friday, Amorim expressed understanding regarding the midfielder’s lack of playing time and hinted at a potential appearance in Saturday’s Serie A match against Lazio.“I think you guys are going to see Pulisic; I don’t know if he is going to start or come off the bench,” Amorim said. “He’s going to play at least a few minutes, and I like Pulisic.”Pulisic sustained a bone bruise along with microfractures to his tibia and fibula during a World Cup loss to Belgium.“Pulisic is upset at the moment because he has zero minutes, and I love that,” Amorim added. “I love that attitude in my players. But he’s ready to play. Let’s not forget he suffered an injury, took a knock in his first training session back, paused his recovery briefly, and has now returned.”Amorim is the former Manchester United coach who is in his first season at the helm in Milan after replacing Massimiliano Allegri. His tenure began promisingly with victories over Torino and Venezia followed by a draw against Juventus last week — a strong run that has made reintegrating Pulisic more challenging.“It doesn’t matter if you are a top player; I will not drop guys who are performing well just to insert any star in the world,” Amorim explained. “That is my philosophy, and that is how I will manage until the end of my career.”He emphasized that Pulisic must remain patient. However, he noted that following the international break a congested schedule of domestic and international fixtures will create opportunities for increased playing time.“Pulisic is crucial for us.
