​Kickboxer-turned-influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested Saturday in Miami outside of a bareknuckle boxing event.The Tates were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals outside of James L. Knight Center, as British authorities seek extradition to the United Kingdom on a slew of new counts of criminal misconduct.The Tates already faced charges, but the Crown Prosecution Service recently decided to prosecute Andrew Tate with 32 more counts (including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, and indecent images of a child and extreme pornography), and Tristan Tate with six more counts (sexual assault, rape, and arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation). We are going to trial in Florida and it looks promising, If we win, the entire narrative collapses.”The Tates were expected to host the debut event of Russia-based bareknuckle boxing promotion IBA Bare Knuckle alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones. In 2016, they moved to Romania as Andrew gained fame, followers, and notoriety as an internet personality. In 2022, they were arrested in Romania and accused of luring women for sexual exploitation. The case did not move forward.The Tates have not shied away from public events since they returned to the United States in February 2025, attending a Power Slap event in March in Las Vegas and UFC 327 in Miami in April. Upon arrival in Florida, Tate briefly feuded with Gov. Ron DeSantis, who publicly said the brothers were not welcome in the state.Prior to his rise in the influencer world, Andrew Tate kickboxed professionally from 2007 to 2020.
