Aller/Getty ImagesAaron Rodgers helped the Pittsburgh Steelers to open their 2026 season with a winning start last weekend.It was not exactly a convincing performance against the Atlanta Falcons, but the Steelers and Rodgers got the job done in Mike McCarthy’s first competitive game in charge.The 2026 season marks Rodgers’ second season in Pittsburgh and his final season in the NFL following over two decades of service to the game.Rodgers dragged the Steelers to the postseason last year, with Colin Cowherd claiming the 42-year-old does not get the recognition he deserves for his work in Pittsburgh.“The Steelers offence was broken before Aaron Rodgers got there. This was not a fixer-upper. It was terrible last year and they just scored 13 against the Falcons,’ replied one fan on X.‘Steelers had the third-lowest EPA/play mark of Week 1 and the lowest success rate,’ another fan added after last Sunday’s unconvincing win.The Steelers have a lot to clean up from their win over the Falcons as they prepare to face a New England Patriots side who are looking to bounce back after their Week One loss.One Steelers fan said: ‘It wasn’t broken.
