Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: OL Isaiah Adams

By admin — In News — July 11, 2026

The Arizona Cardinals will report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, with the roster being formed and starting jobs and roles within the team being determined. In the weeks leading up to the start of camp, the focus will be on examining every player on the offseason roster, exploring their background, reviewing their contracts, assessing their 2025 play, identifying the questions they face, and evaluating their roster outlook.
Here is guard Isaiah Adams. Adams is entering his third NFL season and his third with the Cardinals. He was selected by Arizona in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Throughout his career with the Cardinals, Adams has been an on-again, off-again starter. He finished his rookie season with five starts and began 2025 as the starting right guard. He was eventually replaced by Will Hernandez, though Adams returned to the lineup after Hernandez sustained an injury last season. In 2025, Adams started 11 games and logged 763 offensive snaps.
Adams is in Year 3 of his four-year rookie contract, which totals just under $6 million. He is set to earn more than $1.3 million this season and will count a little over $1.6 million against the salary cap. While Adams has familiarity and versatility—he can play both guard positions and has experience at tackle in college—his spot on the roster is not guaranteed. He ran with the first-team offense in the spring, but the Cardinals drafted a potential long-term solution at guard in rookie second-round pick Chase Bisontis, who is waiting in the wings and is believed to be in line to eventually start.
The question for Adams is whether he can hold off Bisontis for the starting job. If he does not win the starting role, will he remain on the roster as a valuable depth player? Or will other roster moves be made to fill the guard position? These questions will be central to the camp battles and roster decisions this summer as the Cardinals evaluate internal options and prepare for the upcoming season.
This will be one of the camps’ most notable battles to watch.
