Arsenal sign former Barcelona full-back Batlle

The 27-year-old defender has chosen Arsenal as the next destination in her illustrious career, marking a new chapter after her tenure with the Catalan powerhouse came to a close.
Batlle is widely regarded as one of the top right-backs in world football. She arrives at Arsenal after a highly successful three-year spell with FC Barcelona in her homeland of Spain, where she helped the club secure two UEFA Women’s Champions League titles and achieve three domestic trebles. Her career path has seen her develop at several top clubs, beginning with FC Barcelona and then flourishing at Madrid CFF and Levante UD before a three-year spell with Manchester United. She returned to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2023, continuing to showcase her skills at the highest level.
On the international stage, Batlle has earned 76 caps for Spain and has scored two goals. Her contributions to the national team have included triumphs such as a FIFA Women’s World Cup title and two UEFA Women’s Nations Leagues, underscoring her experience and impact on the international stage.
