​Aston Villa complete Goretzka signing and close in on further dealsAston Villa have announced the signing of Leon Goretzka, after the midfielder left Bayern Munich as a free agent earlier this summer.The 31-year-old has spent the past eight years at the Allianz Arena, winning the Champions League, seven Bundesliga and a host of other major honours. The German international has also been capped 73 times by his country.Villa are close to completing a deal for one of Goretzka’s Bayern Munich team-mates from last season. Nicolas Jackson spent last season on loan in Bavaria, but is now seeking a permanent exit from Stamford Bridge.Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sell the striker in a deal worth £65 million, and Jackson will now complete a medical. It will see the Senegal international reunite with Unai Emery, who previously managed him at Villarreal.Jackson’s arrival comes, as Villa have agreed the sale of Ollie Watkins to Saudi side Al-Hilal. Another Villa striker, Tammy Abraham, could also be heading for the exit. Ipswich Town are close to agreeing a loan deal for Abraham.Meanwhile, Villa are also hoping to land AC Milan forward Rafael Leao. The Portugal international wants to leave the San Siro, with Galatsaray and Villa battling for his services. The winger is expected to make his decision soon.
